International Day of the Girl Child

October 11 2012 marked the inaugural “International Day of the Girl Child”. The day was declared by the United Nations, advocating for more opportunity for girls and intensifies awareness of the challenge of gender inequality faced by girls universally. This inequality ranges from areas such as right to education/access to education, protection from discrimination, violence against women, amongst others
Today (October 11, 2016) marks the fourth installation of this celebration. We celebrate the girl child today and also every woman out there (Daughters, Mothers, Aunties, Wives, Girlfriends, Fiancée)
On a final note, pick up your phone, go on social media, and show some love to your Daughters, Mothers, Aunties, Wives, Girlfriends, Fiancée, Nieces, Female Colleagues.

They Are The Real #MVPs
